Thomas Carvalho, Sr., 83, of Lansing, MI passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016 following a brief illness. He was the former husband of Louise (Bianchi) Carvalho of Westport.
Mr. Carvalho was born in Fall River, son of the late Manuel and Maria (Francisco) Carvalho. He was veteran of the Korean Conflict serving his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a lifelong member of VFW Post 701 of Lansing, MI and a retired member of the Liberal Club, Fall River.
Survivors along with his former wife include his 3 sons: Thomas Carvalho, Jr. and his companion Diane Nadeau of Westport; Joseph Carvalho and his wife Debra of Westport, Kenneth Carvalho and his wife Dawn of NY; his 2 daughters: Robin Hurley and her husband Daniel of Westport, Cathy Richard and her husband Marc of Westport; 2 brothers: Alfred Carvalho and George Carvalho; a sister: Elaine Gajoli; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends will be invited will be Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
