Obituary

Dagne E. (Lindquist) Vitikos, known as "Dag", 87, died Friday, August 26, 2005, at the Beaumont Nursing Home in Westboro, MA. She was the daughter of the late Conrad and Alida M. (Wester) Lindquist. Born in Waukegan, IL, Dag lived in Shrewsbury for the past 60 years. She leaves her husband of 63 years, Thomas A. Vitikos of Shrewsbury; 2 daughters, Terri D. Vitikos of Webster and Diane Belsito of Fitchburg; 4 grandchildren, Deanne M. Keddy, James T. Belsito, Thomas J. Vitikos, and Thomas C. Belsito; 6 great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Stephen, Tori, Gi Anna, Jessica, and Leigh Ann; a nephew and 2 nieces.

She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and also attended Beautician School in Worcester where she became a well-known hairdresser. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester, an active member of the Shrewsbury Women’s Club, and dedicted many years as a Girl Scout leader in Shrewsbury. She was an accomplished ballroom dancer with her husband Tom and won many awards for their professional art of dance. She was dedicated to her family and friends, whom she loved, as well as they loved her for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and loving ways.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Aug. 29, in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Flowers may be sent or donations made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester.
