Bonnie Adair (O’Hanlon) Haggan passed peacefully from this life to more life on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017.
She was born on Sept. 29, 1954, in Berkeley, California, the daughter of the late Harold Anthony O’Hanlon and Priscilla (Kingsbury) O’Hanlon. On Nov. 5, 1972, she married Reggie L. Haggan at Old Mystic Baptist Church in Old Mystic. Together they had three children. Although they divorced they remained friends.
A 1972 graduate of Fitch High School, she worked many jobs to provide for her family. Her last place of employment as an administrative assistant was at DDL OMNI Engineering in Norwich. Bonnie loved relaxing on the beach, watching hummingbirds from her kitchen window and going on cruises with her best friend Sharon (Cookie) Burdick.
She was predeceased by her son Jason Haggan, her father, her mother, her brothers Harold Jr. and Brian, and her sister Candy.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, son Brett (Carlos) and daughter Kelly, and a forever son-in-law, Jay Erlandson. She also leaves her grandchildren Aaron, Jahrel, Dominic and Taylor. She leaves siblings Craig (Eileen) of Arizona, Wendy Beard of New Jersey, Priscilla (Ron) of Idaho, Heidi (Charles) of Connecticut, John (Sonia) of New Jersey, Allan (Terra) of Idaho, and Terry (Donna) of Connecticut, and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her family will greet relatives and friends 4 to 6pm on Friday, February 3, 2017, at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., historic downtown Mystic. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6pm.
