STOW
Ronald H. Alving, 80, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 in Florida after an illness. He was born in Concord and raised in Maynard, the son of Francis Emil and Dorothy (Priest) Alving and had lived most of his life in Stow.
He leaves his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia (Vaughan) Alving; his son, Scott Alving and his partner, Carlos Peneda of Stow; his step-son, David Nawrocki of Yarmouth Port; his sister-in-law, Ruth Alving of Stow; his two loving grandchildren, Derek Alving-Peneda and Phoenix Alving-Peneda; three nephews, Todd, Jonathan and Peter Alving; his grand-niece, Christina; and a grand-nephew, Nicholas. He was predeceased by his son, Derek Alving and his brother, Delbert Alving.
Ronald owned and operated Lake Boone General Store, Yours & Mine Restaurant and the Yours & Mine Restaurant II, all in Hudson. He was a member of the Aleppo Temple Shrine in Wilmington, the Charles A. Welch Masonic Lodge in Maynard and the Hudson-Concord Elks 0959 in Hudson. He enjoyed traveling, trips to Fort Myers, Florida and spending time with his family.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 5, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson. Funeral Services for Ronald will be held on Monday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe Hamilton Memorial Chapel (previously Christ the King Church), 48 Central Street, Hudson. Burial will follow at Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
