In Brockton, January 23, 2017 James R."Bob" Hackett, age 74, passed away in Good Samaritan Hospital following a period of failing health with his loving family by his side. Bob is survived by his wife Christine (Senna) Hackett of Taunton. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late James K. & Elizabeth (Conway) Hackett. Bob resided all his life in Taunton. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. Bob was the owner of J.R. Hackett Plumbing & Heating and was also the former owner Hackett’s Poultry Farm. He enjoyed watching all Boston sports and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Bob leaves his children Kim Hackett- Jones and her husband Chris of Dighton, Michael Hackett of Taunton and Christopher Hackett and his wife Jessica of Taunton and Timothy Hackett of Easton. Brother of Lee Hackett and his wife Donna of Pocasset and Scott Hackett of Taunton. Grandfather of Hunter, Ryan, Jared, Nathan and Kevin. Bob also leaves his nieces, one nephew and many friends. A graveside service will be held with military honors on Friday February 3rd at 11 am. at St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
