Obituary

Arthur Eugene Boyer, 95, of Sherborn, formerly of Newton, passed away on January 23, 2017, at his home in Sherborn.
He was the loving son of the late Joseph Alfred and Josephine Boyer. He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Paul L. Boyer and Alfred Boyer, and his sister, Blanche Hileman. He is survived by his nephew, Paul L.Boyer Jr., his grandniece Leah, and his grandnephew Eric.
Gene served as a Staff Sergeant in World War II. He was a highly respected Master Builder of unique homes in Sherborn and nearby towns. He was also a former Building Inspector for the Town of Sherborn.
Gene will be dearly missed by all those to whom he was a beloved mentor and friend. It was a privilege to listen to his meticulous and reasoned analysis of most any subject. He touched all with his deep kindness and his capacity to reach out to those in need.
During his illness, Gene received extraordinary care from his friend, Paul E. Seaver.
A graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Newton Cemetery, Newton, Mass. Friends are invited.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Gene's memory to Natick Visiting Nurse Association, 209 West Central Street, Natick, MA, 01760.
