Rita L. Anderson, 79, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday, August 27, 2005 in her home. Mrs. Anderson was born in Lynn, MA on August 6, 1926, a daughter of the late Walter and Elsie (Campbell) Wilson. She was raised in Lynn and was a resident of Londonderry for the past three years, formerly living in Windham, NH for 22 years. She had been employed as a waitress for several restaurants in the Lynn area. Mrs. Anderson loved spending time with family and friends. She was an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Whitten of Peabody, MA, Cynthia Hunt of Ipswich, MA, Cheryl Monks of Londonderry, one son, Richard Anderson of Plymouth, MA, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother, Henry Wilson of California. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Roland C. Anderson who died in 2001.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 31st at 1:30pm at the Cemetery on the Plains, Windham. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 360 State Rt. 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH handled the arrangements.
