Claire (Picard) Duhon, 85, of Westport died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness. She was wife of the late Joseph J. Duhon.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Arthur and Clarine (DuPont) Picard, she had lived in Westport for most of her life. She was a graduate of Jesus Mary Academy in Fall River, Class of 1949. Prior to her retirement in December of 2016, she was a customer service representative for the Westport Federal Credit Union for 45 years. Mrs. Duhon was a devout Catholic and was a Communicant of St. Anthony of the Desert Church, Fall River. A loving memere to her 6 grandchildren, she loved spending time with her family. She was also an avid reader.
Survivors include a son: Paul A. Duhon and his wife Jennifer of Westport; 2 daughters: Randey R. Hart and her husband Jonny Walker of Orlando, FL and Madeleine Duhon of Fall River; and 6 grandchildren: Justin and Caleb Hart and Morgan, Grayson, Camden and William Duhon.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, February 3, 2017 from the Potter Funeral Home at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of the Desert Church, Fall River at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
