Eleanor T. (DiCalogero) Cappello of Somerville died on Thursday, January 26. Born and raised in Revere, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Josephine (Ippolito) DiCalogero. Eleanor was employed for many years as a seamstress.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank G. Cappello, and the devoted mother of Denise Cappello and her partner Sue Camancho of Somerville, Angela Sarver and her husband Daryl of Wolfeboro, NH, Francine Cappello and her partner James Takach Jr. of Medford, and the late Cindy Baron and her late husband Bruce Baron. Eleanor was the loving grandmother of Matthew F. and Jason S. Baron, and sister of Philip DiCalogero of Saugus, Nina Cadarelli and Michael DiCalogero, both of Revere. She was the sister-in-law of Joseph Cappello and his wife Carol of NH, and was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. Eleanor is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, January 30, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Sunday, January 29, from 2 through 5 PM.
