New Bedford – Maria J. Araujo, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Fernandes Araujo and the late Jose deLima Ferreira
She was born in St. Michael, Azores, and lived in this area since 1974
Her family includes: Sons: Joao Lima Husband of Irene of NB, Adriano Lima husband of Margarida of NB, Jose Lima husband of Lucy of NB, Daughters: Olga Harland wife of John of Dartmouth, Lucie Pacheco wife of Manny of Dartmouth and step daughter Judith Harland wife of Tom of Florida. She was the mother of the late Rui and Jorge Lima and is pre deceased by several siblings. She was the grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 4 and had several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Monday beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. with a religious service at the Evangelical Pentecostal Church, 129 Hathaway Blvd. at 9:00 A.M.
