West Boylston - Wesley A. White, 96, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. His wife of 69 years, Evelyn E. (Carlson) White died in 2013. He leaves his daughter, Karen Jean White; son, Steven R. White and his wife Cindy; three grandchildren, Carly, Lucas, and David - all of West Boylston. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Pifer.
Wesley was born in Worcester, son of Dorothy (Adams) and Herbert White. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade School and a WWII Navy veteran. Wes was a 32nd Degree Mason in the Boylston A.F. & A.M. Lodge where he organized the annual blood drives with Ronnie Rosenlund for many years. He was a sheet metal craftsman and worked at Norton Co. and retired from Heald Machine after 33 years. He shared his metal-working talents as a substitute teacher at Boys Trade School, now the Worcester Technical High School. He was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holden and the Greendale Retired Men's Club and its choir.
The funeral service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 346 Shrewsbury Street, Holden on Saturday, January 28, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. There are no calling hours.
