Betty Lou (Clevenger) Knotts Russell died January 25, 2017 at Meadow Lakes Assisted Living in Mooresville, IN after an extended illness.
She was born, July 7, 1925 in Alexandria to Charles and Glee (Collins) Clevenger. She was a beautician and homemaker who enjoyed playing dominos and cards, crocheting, watching baseball and movies with her family.
She was a member of Christian Congregation Church before moving to Lakeland, Florida.
She is survived by her four children, Loretta (Rickey) Powless of Anderson; David (Linda) Knotts and Karen (Daniel) Hayden all of Florida; Lisa (Rick) Brewer of Monrovia; step children, Sharon (Cal) Chun of Nevada; Greg (Liz) Russell of Arkansas; 24 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren her brother, Jack (Joyce) Clevenger of Muncie and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James C. Russell; two sons, Terry Knotts and Michael Knotts; step-daughter, Bonnie Clouse; brother, Charles Clevenger, and three sisters, Ida Bell Kendall; Naomi Christenson and Juanita Sizelove.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 28 at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association.
