Steve Peek, 61, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at his residence. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jerry Cooper officiating. Mr. Peek will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester with the Rev. Jimmy Cargle officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, January 27, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Larry Taylor, Rick Benson, Robert Brooks, Josh Hendrix, Craig Lawson and James Hawke will serve as pallbearers.
Born May 18, 1955 in Albany, Mr. Peek was the son of the late Dewey Wayne Peek and Margaret Louise Wright Peek. He was an outside sales representative for Leece-Neville. He loved being outside riding four-wheelers with the kids. He was very outgoing and loved meeting and talking to people.
Mr. Peek is survived by his wife, Brenda Lawson Peek of Tifton; one son, Landon Peek of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Candice and McKay Melton of Leesburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Cathy Peek of Albany and David and Lorrie Peek of Dawson; one sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Bill Dillashaw of Cornelia; one granddaughter, Lindsey Melton; two aunts, Helen Loyless of Albany and Geneva Hubbard of Jacksonville, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
