Regina Diane Greene, 44, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Friday, January 27, 2017, at Christian Fellowship in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Rex Johnson and Kenny Croft officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Greene was born August 7, 1972, in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, to Freddy Andrews of Shellman Bluff, Georgia, and Elizabeth Ann Webb of Fitzgerald. She had lived in the community for 35 years and was a 1988 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She received her cosmetology degree thru Ben Hill Irwin Technical College and was a beautician and also worked with the Jessamine Place. Mrs. Green enjoyed gardening, crocheting, helping others and most of all her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and step-mother, Brenda Andrews of Shellman Bluff, she is survived by her husband of 18 years, Duane Ellis of Fitzgerald; children: Steven Greene & Lakelin, John Greene & fiancé Devon Ewing and Angelleigha Ellis, all of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Kaitlyn Greene, Brilyn Greene, Adalynn Greene and Sadie Greene; a step-brother, Steven Andrews of Townson and an uncle, Bobby Webb of Burnsville, North Carolina.
