Mr. Richard W. Hudson, of Providence, R.I., and formerly of Taunton, died Monday, January 23 in Rhode Island Hospital following a period of failing health. He was born 65 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Howard and Helen (Messier) Hudson. He was educated in Taunton and had been a Providence resident since 2002. Prior to his retirement, Richard was employed at Taunton State Hospital for over 20 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era.
He leaves: 2 brothers: Curtis Hudson and his wife, Terry of Foxboro, and Ronald Hudson Perkins of Lynnfield; 3 sisters: Joyce Wood, Gloria Hudson, and Gail Martin all of Taunton, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, January 27 at 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the Service, Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
