Helen L. Hadwin
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, January 24, 2017, Mrs. Helen L. Hadwin, wife of nearly 68 years to Mr. Frank Hadwin.
Mrs. Hadwin was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Hadwin enjoyed cooking, scratching lottery tickets and loved Elvis. She was an avid NASCAR fan, especially for Tony Stewart. Her children were her life.
Family members in addition to her husband include 5 children: Glenda McElreath, Linda Luther and husband Randy, Frank Hadwin, Jr. and wife Paulette, Angela Hadwin and Carol Hadwin; sister: Vera Gray; brothers: Vernon Lewis and wife Ponda and Larry Lewis and wife Janie; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Marie Hadwin, granddaughter, Tonya Stacy and brother, Ernest Lewis.
A funeral service will be Thursday, January 26, 2017, 11:00 A.M in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shawn Waytaszik, Quentin Dillingham, Bryan Anderson, Michael Harrison, Larry Lewis and Craig Hilliard.
