Obituary

Pauline J. (Mancini) Simmons, 86, of Manchester, NH, died Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Mount Carmel Rehab and Nursing Center in Manchester. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger F. Simmons.

Born in Franklin, MA on February 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Libero and Christine (Chestercove) Mancini.

Mrs. Simmons was a resident of Manchester for over 20 years and formerly resided in Franklin, MA.

Before her retirement, she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Albert Vena in Franklin and also at the former Franklin Florist.

Mrs. Simmons volunteered at The Salvation Army in Milford, MA for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Simmons and her husband Roger Guilbert of Laconia, NH and Dianne Riddle and her husband David of Sandwich, MA.

She was a beloved grandmother to her six grandchildren, Erica Murphy and her husband Ryan, Savino “Sammy” Auciello, Scott Guilbert, Sara Riddle, Rebecca Schneider and husband Jason and Joshua Riddle and a beloved great-grandmother to Brandon and Kaleigh Murphy.

She was predeceased by Paul Patenaude, her longtime companion and angel.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, February 1 from 4 - 8 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin, MA (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 2 at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made in her memory to The Mount Carmel Nursing Center, 235 Myrtle St., Manchester, NH 03104.
