Brockton – Paul J. Sickoll 63, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died Sunday January 22 after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Brockton he was the son of Loretta (Bell) Sickoll of Brockton and the late Gordon W. Sickoll and a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1971.
For over twenty years Paul had worked as a salesman for John Hancock Insurance Company, and had been a familiar face having worked locally in Real Estate for Richard Middleton Real Estate of Brockton. He had also served as chef for the former McMenamy’s in Brockton.
Paul had been a longtime and active member of the St. Paul Episcopal Church of Brockton and had enjoyed his trips to the casinos.
In addition to his mother Loretta, he is survived by his brother Richard Sickoll and his wife Catherine of Brockton, his sisters Loretta Johnson and her husband Dana of Bridgewater and Cheryl Mahoney and her husband Steve of Brockton as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Arlene Brennan.
His funeral service will be held Saturday January 28 at 10:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Fern Hill, Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday January 27 from 4:00-7:00 PM.
