Deborah A. Boyle, 62, of Burlingame Road, Smithfield, died Friday, January 20, 2017 surrounded by her family at the Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Providence. She was the wife of Robert T. Boyle, Jr. They had been married for 37 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Joan (Davidson) Kerwin. She was a lifelong resident of Smithfield. She had worked as an administrative assistant for Harris and Gifford as well as Miriam Hospital before retiring. During the late 80’s and early 90’s she was the Chairwoman for the Smithfield Sewer Authority. She served as the Chairperson of the St. Michael’s Christmas Bazaar. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the former Hearthside Bowling League. Deb was an exhibitor in the Scituate Art Festival selling her handmade novelty signs.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Robert W. Boyle and his wife, Stephanie of Smithfield, her siblings: William R. Kerwin and his wife, Robin of Smithfield, James J. Kerwin and his wife, Leeanne of Attleboro, Kerri Dubois and her husband, Richard, of Felsmere, FL, Christopher Kerwin and his wife, Tricia of Smithfield and Tricia Kerwin of Smithfield.She was the sister of the late Michael Kerwin. She is also survived by her sisters in law: Lynda Clark and her husband, Kevin of Cumberland and Kathleen Maione and her husband, Paul of Warwick and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10am in St. Michael's Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
