Obituary

Lawrence "Larry" E. King, 71, of Pelham, NH, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. He was born in Winchester, MA on April 15, 1945, a son of Melvin and Bernice (Robbins) King. Larry proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Onsitecare until his retirement. He enjoyed reading Clive Cussler books and had an extraordinary sense of humor. Larry set aside Fridays for his weekly outing with his friend George to go shooting then out for lunch.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Kathryn(Ranberg) King of Pelham; son, Lawrence A. King and his wife Marlene of Billerica, MA; daughter, Cindy L (King) Gannon and her husband James of Hillsborough, NH; three grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, and Alex; two brothers, Allan King of Wakefield, NH and Arthur King of Rutherfordton, NC; one sister, Barbara Jenkins of Hillsborough, NH, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by Elizabeth and Ed Harnish and Paul and Jane Ranberg.

There are no calling hours. A Private celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the VA Manchester, 718 Smyth Road, Manchester, NH 03104. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
