Daugherty, Violet Virginia (Geary), 94, passed away January 20, 2017 at her home with family by her side.
She was born to James and Martha (Johnson) Geary on June 5, 1922 in Echols, KY.
Violet was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid volunteer for the Ohio County Hospital, and a life member of VFW post #5766.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William W. Daugherty; a granddaughter, Marianne Lee Daugherty; grandson, Larry Daugherty; two brothers; and four sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Darrel (Martha), Wayne (Lynn), Truman (Kaye), William (Robin), David, Joshua O'Daugherty, and Patricia Mundt (Mark); 22 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren
Visitation only Sunday 3:00-8:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Visitation is Monday 1:00-8:00 PM and after 9:00 AM Tuesday with Funeral Services Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Danks Funeral Home 222 N. Lafayette St., Beaver Dam, KY. Burial is in Echols Cemetery.
