Obituary


Carl J ( Cully ) Santheson III peacefully made his journey to the other side surrounded by his family at home on the afternoon of Wednesday January 18th in Vero Beach Florida.
Born and raised in Duxbury Mass, an only child to Carl J and Lillian E Santheson.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 51 years Anna ( Nancy ) Santheson and his children Carl R Santheson of Plymouth Mass and his daughter Christine E Santheson of Altamonte Springs Florida, his Grandchildren Tiffany, Julien, and Ashleigh. With special thanks to his sister in law Eileen Young for her first hand love and support.
along with many close friends and relatives who have been so supportive through this journey.
As a proud member of the United States Navy, he was able to travel to many places and make some very long lasting friendships. Upon his discharge from the Navy he returned to his home town to help operate and eventually own the family business, Snug Harbor Fish Market, a Duxbury landmark until 1994 with his father and son.
His dedication to his family and to his family business was relentless.
Cully was a long term member of the Duxbury board of cemetery trustees and a proud member of the local and state political scene. Always one to listen and to analyze to make the best decisions for his towns needs.
A proud veteran that was never shy of expressing his love for his country and the love for his family.
A special thanks to the Vero Beach medical community and to the services of the Vero Beach Visiting Nurses and Hospice.
Donations can be made in Cullys name to the ST Jude Children's Hospital.
A private family service will be held in his honor at a later date.
