Obituary

Laconia-----Raymond Falconer 92, former longtime resident of Sanbornton, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Concord Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Raymond was born July 20, 1924 in New York, New York, son to the late Wallace and Beatrice (Tighe) Falconer. He served in the United States Army from April 12, 1946 to October 8, 1947 and was stationed in the Philippines during World War II. Raymond worked for Allenair as the shipping and receiving manager for 30 years. Raymond was an active member for many years of the American Legion Post #200 in Hempstead, New York. After retiring he later moved to Sanbornton with his loving wife.
Raymond enjoyed bowling, photography and family vacations in New Hampshire. His faith was also very important to him. He was a devout catholic and an active member of Sacred Heart Church for many years. Above all family was most important to him. He adored taking care of his wife and family. Especially spending time with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
October 12, 2017 would have marked his 60th wedding anniversary with his loving wife.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Rita (Hartmann) Falconer of Laconia, 2 sons, Raymond W. Falconer and his wife, Jane of Selden, NY and Steve J. Falconer of Port Jefferson, NY; 2 daughters, Diane Falconer and her husband, David Lapointe of Laconia and Laura Falconer and her husband, Steve Lewis of Sumner, ME; 6 grandchildren, Janice Chase and her husband, Patrick, Jasmine Fayez and her fiancé, Eric Baker, Karim Fayez, David Falconer, Michael Falconer, Jeanette Price and her husband, James ; 5 great-grandchildren, Colby Patrick, Marley Mae and Lucas Raymond Chase, Peyton Reid and Liam Kane Price; a brother, Frederick Falconer and his wife, Judith of East Islip, NY; a brother-in-law, Herbert Heinlein and his wife, BJ of Danbury, CT and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his brother, Wallace "Sonny" Falconer and his sister, Joyce Heinlein.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, January 23, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Andre Bessette Parish - Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH.
Burial will be held at 12 Noon at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
