SACO- Roland John Gagnon, age 76, passed away on Jan. 18, 2017, at St. Andre Health Care in Biddeford with his family at his side.
He was born in Biddeford on Aug. 25, 1940, a son of the late J. Camile and Laurette (Methot) Gagnon.
Roland was educated at St. Joseph's Grammar School, St. Louis High School, and York County Community College in later years where he earned an associate's degree.
Over the years, Roland was employed by Biddeford Textile and held positions such as shop steward and working supervisor.
He enjoyed gardening, and was an avid sports fan.
Roland is predeceased by a grandson- Normand Audie of Saco who passed away in 2006.
He is survived by his beloved wife- Priscille (Fecteau) Gagnon; children- Karen Audie and her husband Bruce of Saco, David Gagnon and his wife Denise of Biddeford, Janice Thompson and her husband Charles of St. Mary's Georgia, Susan Patoine and her husband Raymond of Arundel, and Michael Gagnon and his wife Bobbi of So. Berwick; brothers- Marcel Doucette and his wife Laurie of Lewiston, and Maurice Doucette and his wife Barbara of Old Orchard Beach; grandchildren- Joel Gagnon and his wife Sarah of Biddeford, Jeffrey Gagnon and his wife Autumn of Hollis, Phillip Thompson of St. Mary's Georgia, Katie Cote and her husband Matt of Waterboro, Sara Brouillard and her husband Jamie of Biddeford, Kevin Thompson of St. Mary's Georgia, Lauren Heywood and her husband Josh of Biddeford, Rebecca Patoine of Arundel, Tyler Gagnon of South Berwick, Marlee Gagnon of South Berwick, and Kayci Gagnon of South Berwick; and several great grandchildren.
