Guy R. Gove, age 65, of Brockton, died January 16, 2017. Born in Winthrop, he was the son of the late Guy and Florence A. (Sherman) Gove. Guy was educated in Winthrop and Quincy Schools and worked for 25 years at Shoe City Contract Company. Guy enjoyed listening to music, playing musical instruments, riding his bike, taking walks and bowling. Going to Dunkin Donuts for a cup of coffee always made Guy happy.
Guy is survived by his sister Bette MacDonald of Taunton, Judith Rounds and her husband Robert of Lakeville and Karen Gove of Lowell; his niece Michelle Young-Ferguson, her husband Brian Ferguson and their children Serenity and Sawyer Young-Ferguson of Brockton, and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Ruth Prunier and brother in law of the late Fred MacDonald.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 4-7pm. Visitation will also be held Friday 9-10am prior to a funeral service at 10am.
