Mildred L. (Pleau) Gariepy, 91, of Medway, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Beaumont Rehab & Skilled Nursing Center in Northbridge. She was the beloved wife of William Gariepy who died in 2001.
Born in Bellingham on January 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Saffrina Mary (Snay) Pleau.
Mrs. Gariepy was a resident of Medway for many years and formerly resided in Bellingham.
Before her retirement, she had worked as a textile worker in the Medway and Bellingham area.
Mrs. Gariepy cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol Patrick of Bellingham, Nancy Herring and her husband Doc of Charlotte, NC and Susan Mucci and her husband Joe of Medway.
She is also survived by two granddaughters, Stacey Feltes and her husband Jeff of Stone Mountain, GA and Megan Diamond of Clover, SC and one great-granddaughter Ansley Diamond.
She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, January 21 at 10 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 - 8 p.m.
