Mary (Smatlak) Durica, 92, of Anderson died January 17, 2017 at Edgewater Woods.
She was born November 1, 1924 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to John and Anna (Payerchin) Smatlak.
She was a member of the Church of God in Anderson. She was a former employee at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, PA. She was a homemaker and loved to bake and do arts and crafts. She was an attentive parent to her special needs children and their programs throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by her seven children, Karen (Mark) Roller of Carmel; Donald (Jody) Durica of Zionsville; Richard (Janet) Durica of Stanhope, NJ, David (Dianne) Durica of Orangevale, CA; Edward Durica, Debbie Durica and Beth Ann Durica all of Anderson; five siblings, Mildred Sholtis of Torrington, CT; Joseph Smatlak of Punxsutawney, PA; Dorothy (Floyd) Saltsman of Southington, OH; Kenneth Smatlak of Canada and Ruth (Mark) Walton of Sherwood, OR; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Durica in 1994, and seven brothers and sisters.
Service will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. James Cook officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017 in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Johnstown, Pennsylvania with Pastor Tim Coppess officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hopewell Center.
