TEWKSBURY: Dorothy (Francesconi) King, age 88, a Westford resident for the past 3 years, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away at the Bridges by Epoch Assisted Living Community on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.

She was the beloved wife of Joseph D. King, who passed away October 28, 1982

Born in Revere on February 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Francesconi and the late Mary (Federiconi) Francesconi.

Dorothy was raised in Revere, attended Revere schools, and graduated from Revere High School in 1946.

In 1967, she moved to Tewksbury where she resided until moving to Westford in 2014.

Prior to her retirement in 2000, Dorothy was employed by the Accounts Receivable Department of the Converse Rubber Company in Wilmington.

In earlier years, Dorothy enjoyed acrobatics, ballet and tap dancing, and traveling with her friend Lillian Emanuelli.

Dorothy was a former member of the Woburn Golden Age Club and the Tewksbury Senior Center.

She is survived by three children, Maria A. King Morrissey of Frisco, TX, Joseph M. King and his wife Peggy of Feeding Hills, MA, and Anne M. King Annis and her husband Norman of Dracut, MA; six grandchildren, Chad Morrissey and his wife Amanda, Colin Morrissey, Andrew and Joseph King, and Meaghan and Matthew Annis; two great grandchildren, Makenna and Luca Morrissey; two brothers, Ralph Francesconi and his wife Rita , and Alexander Francesconi all of Wakefield; two sisters-in-law, Judy Francesconi of Chelmsford and Ann Francesconi of Revere; also many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was the sister of the late Carl and Henry Francesconi and sister-in-law of the late Jeanne Francesconi.

Calling hours are Sunday, Jan. 22, from 3-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will begin on Monday, Jan. 23, at 10:30 am. At the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Tewksbury. Private interment will be held at a later date. Kindly Omit Flowers.
