Meredith-----Helen Angeline (Bennett) Corriveau passed away at Forest View Manor on January 14, 2017 peacefully surrounded by her children at the age of 93.
Helen was born in Laconia, NH on December 9, 1923 to Ellwood V. and Arlene (Crossley) Bennett. She was a graduate of Laconia High School class of 1941 and married the love of her life, Roland Corriveau on September 9, 1944. She was a longtime resident of Sleeper Hill Road (56 years) where she lived in the home that she and her husband built until his untimely death in 1981.
Helen was employed by the State of NH at Belknap Superior Court from 1974 to 1995 retiring at the age of 72. Prior to this she worked at the Laconia High School Lunch Program for many years.
Helen enjoyed reading and music and was a huge Red Sox fan. She enjoyed attending sporting events for her grandchildren. Helen especially enjoyed family gatherings for holidays and birthdays. She was an active member of the First Methodist Church of Laconia and an active participant at the Community Wellness Center for many years.
Helen is survived by 4 children, Marcia A. Rodgers and her husband, Ernie of Gilford, Marc A. Corriveau and his wife, Colleen of Laconia, Marcelle A.Stohl and her husband, Paul of Belmont, and Margo A. Racicot and her husband, Dr. Paul Racicot of Sanbornton; eight loving grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren who she very much enjoyed. She met great-grandchild number 12 just born in November during the holidays. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Roland.
Per her wishes there will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Beane Conference Center, 35 Blueberry Lane, Laconia, NH.
Burial will be in the family lot at Pine Grove Cemetery in the spring.
