Pauline J. Ryan, 78, of Woonsocket died peacefully with her family by her side Saturday at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Providence. She was the loving wife of the late James F. Ryan Jr. who passed away in 2007.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Benoit) Ledoux.
She was employed at Miller Electric for many years and also worked at Finkelsteins and Mt. St. Francis Health Care Center.
Pauline was a dedicated volunteer at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs food pantry. She was skilled at needlepoint, sewing, cooking, baking and enjoyed reading books.
Pauline enjoyed local concerts and loved family outing and gatherings.
She is survived by a son James W. Ryan and his wife, Cheryl, of Woonsocket and two daughters Marie Brown and her husband, Raymond, of Woonsocket and Christine Dupont and her husband, Brian, of Albion. She was the sister of David Ledoux of Millville and Madeleine Chaplin of Maine. She is also survived by three grandchildren Malinda Coro, Jeffrey Brown and Melissa Sealund and 5 great-grandchildren Tyler, Connor, Michael, Eve and Mea and several nieces and nephews and their families.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours are Friday morning from 9-10 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
