East Bridgewater - Karen Marie (Walsh) Tevlin 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 15 in the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late James F. Tevlin.
Born in Quincy and raised in Hingham, she was the daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Margaret (Smith) Walsh and a graduate of Hingham High School, Class of 1970.
After growing up in Hingham, Karen had settled in East Bridgewater, where she and her husband James raised their two sons.
She was talented and avid painter and had been an incredible “quilter” which she had truly loved to do.
She is survived by her sons James Tevlin and Ryan Tevlin both of East Bridgewater, her brother Sean Walsh and her sisters Margret Putnam and Sheila Berry. She was the sister of the late Robert Walsh, Jr.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday January 21 at 11:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Beaver Cemetery, East Bridgewater. Visiting hours will be held Friday January 20 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
