Obituary

Thomas M. Fasano, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Roxbury. He was 67 years of age.

Thomas was born in Boston on April 4, 1949, a son of the late William Fasano and Nora (Sullivan) Chandler. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Thomas enlisted into the United States Marine Corps on December 28, 1966, and served his country with honor during the Vietnam Conflict. He was discharged on February 12, 1968 with the rank of Private First Class. Thomas worked as an automotive mechanic for most of his life before becoming the proprietor of Townies Pizza in Charlestown. He was a past Vice President of the Charles Newtown Co-op Association in Charlestown where he cared for his community. He was also a member of the Bunker Hill American Legion Post #26.

Thomas is the beloved husband and companion for over 30 years to Patricia (White) Fasano. He is loving father to Thomas Fasano Jr. and Richard Fasano, both of Charlestown. He is the beloved brother of William Fasano, Deborah Mudway and her husband Philip, and Michael Harrison and his wife Janine. He is also survived by dear friends Rick Reffitt and Lizcarla Martinez.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Thomas's visiting hours on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. with his Funeral Service at 7:30 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His Funeral Procession from the funeral home at 9 A.M. to the Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Bourne for his committal service at 11:30.A.M. on Friday, January 20, 2017.
