Antonio Homem, age 63, of Somerset, passed away on January 15, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Santo Antonio, Alem Capelas, São Miguel Açores, he was the son of the late José V. and Mariana (Farias) Homem and was the devoted husband of Maria (Furtado) Homem. Antonio was a machine operator at Quaker Fabric, and avid soccer fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters; Janice Cordeiro (husband Marco), Linda Medeiros (husband Ruben) and Michelle Homem (boyfriend Andre Cordeiro, siblings; Maria Do Carmo Viveiros Barreira, and Maria Manuela Lopes, grandchildren; Ryan and Jordan Medeiros, and Brielle Cordeiro, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late José Maria Homem and Fatima Homem.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Thursday with extended calling hours from 8-10 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
