Obituary

Violet Apalakian 92, a lifelong Franklin resident, died peacefully, Saturday morning January 14, 2017 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham.

Born in Franklin, October 5, 1924 a daughter of the late Senekerim and Elizabeth (Zorzopian) Apalakian, she was raised and educated in Franklin, and graduated from Franklin High School in 1942 as the Valedictorian. She continued onto further her education and graduated from Fisher College in 1943.

Violet was employed for more than 55 years by Eaton Vance, an investment management company in Boston. She retired in 2012 as a pension advisor.

Violet is survived by her brother Richard Apalakian of Franklin, and was the sister of the late Sara Apalakian, who died in 2009.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday January 18th, at 11AM in the Anglican Church of the Redeemer 31 Hayward St. Franklin. Interment will follow in the family lot at Union Street Cemetery.

Calling hours are Tuesday Jan. 17th, from 5-7PM at the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin.
