Obituary

Robert J. “Bob” Sullivan, 72, of Chester, NH, passed away Friday, the 13th of January, 2017, after a period of declining health in his home surrounded by his loving family . He was born in Melrose, MA on September 2, 1944, a son of the late Leo and Edith (Conway) Sullivan. Bob enjoyed the art of boxing and was a Mustang enthusiast. Bob started his meat cutting career at Spollett’s General Store in Chester and owned and operated his own business; “Ye Olde Butcher Shop” in Derry, NH before ending his career in Colebrook, NH at Prescott Farms.

He is survived by his son, Patrick Sullivan; daughter, Shayne Marshall; daughter-in-law, Lindsay Murray; five grandchildren, Sara, Corey, Cody, Christopher, and Connor; four sisters, Barbara Dolloff, Marjorie Gould, Virginia Harris, Jane Sullivan and also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his faithful companion, Ben. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and William Sullivan.

A calling hour was held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 5 to 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, with a memorial service that followed at 6pm. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NHSPCA PO Box 196, 104 Portsmouth Avenue Stratham, NH 03885.
