David M. Dunn, 66, of Omega passed away Friday, January 13, 2017, at his residence, surrounded by friends and family. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Allen Mullis and Wade Crumley officiating. Mr Dunn will be laid to rest at Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 17, 2017, from 12:00 p. m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Scott Dunn, Brent Dunn, Justin Golden, Duane Werherington, Gene Lott, Eddie Dunn, Jimmy Holton and Junior Holton will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 19, 1950 in Tifton, Mr. Dunn was the son of Dorothy Golden Dunn of Omega and the late Charles W. Dunn. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Dunn and Thomas Dunn. He served in the United States Army from 1969-1971, serving two tours in Vietnam and had lived in Tift County his entire life.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Dunn is survived by one son, Tristyn Dunn of Omega; one daughter, Angie McBrayer of Omega; two brothers, Robert Dunn and Timothy Dunn, both of Tifton; two sisters, Charlotte Nichols of Tifton and Joyce Elliott of Omega; and three grandchildren, Katy, Jordan and Samuel.
