Michael Fletcher, 42, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017, in Jeff Davis County.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, January 16, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Pangle officiating. Interment will follow in Eureka Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Michael was born June 13, 1974, in Ben Hill County to Nancy Leverett Fondren and the late George Michael Fletcher, Sr. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a welder at Goodman Welding and loved hunting and fishing. Michael enjoyed watching and playing sports, especially football.
He is survived by his children: Ashley Fletcher and her husband Andrew Porter of Richmond, Kentucky, Justin Fletcher and Joshua Fletcher, both of Fitzgerald; his mother, Nancy Leverett Fondren and her husband Junior Fondren of Ocilla; a sister, Michelle Fletcher and husband Justin Moore of Waterloo; two brothers: Paul Fletcher of Edinburg, Texas and Russell & Heather Fletcher of Ft. Myers, Florida; and the mothers of his children: Lori Noe of Corbin, Kentucky and Cheryl Pierce of Fitzgerald.
