GORHAM-Judith Wilcox, age 78 died on January 11, 2017 in Scarborough Maine. She was born in Portland Maine. The only child of Glenva Farr and James Whidden. She graduated from Deering High School in 1956 and from nursing school in 1959.
Judith practiced her nursing career for 40 years including Critical Care at Maine Medical Center, Co-owner and administrator of Manden Convalescent Home in South Portland Maine. She was also general manager and branch supervisor at Central Florida Blood Bank in Sebring Florida.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She enjoyed making crafts, sewing, cooking and playing bingo.
Judith is survived by her son James Small and his wife Sue Arey of Biddeford Me, her daughter Julie Parsons and grandson Brandon Denison, both of Harrison Me, her step sister Judy Rand of Milford Me and step brother John Whidden of Ellington CT. She is also survived by her best friend Edith Merrier of Saco Me.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
