FALL RIVER - Walter V. Nunes, 72, 16 Russell St., Fall River, MA, died Monday at St. Anne’s Hospital. He was the husband of Pauline (Leite) Almeida of Fall River, Father of Michael and Kevin Nunes, Paula Cardoza, and Elaine Cabral, Father-in-law of Christopher Cardoza, Grandfather of Michael and Kris-Norman Ferreira and Stacy Cabral, Great Grandfather of Tylor Ponte, & One Nephew. He was also brother of the late Cynthia B. Ring.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Manuel V. Nunes and the late Ursalina(Alves) Nunes. He was a Fall River resident for most of his life. Before retiring, he was a Tech Sgt. for the U.S. Air Force for 22 years. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and Viet-Nam Era.
His private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA.
