William E. Taylor Jr., age 72, a lifelong resident of Weymouth passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 9, 2017. Bill was born in Malden to William E. Taylor Sr. and the late Anne Flood Taylor. He was raised and educated in Weymouth. He enjoyed traveling and had many opportunities due to his father working for the airlines. Bill met his wife Cheryl and they settled in Weymouth to start a family. He has had many passions throughout his life including being an avid motorcyclist since the age of 18, being a charter member of the Holbrook Sportsman’s Club, and past president of the Pond Plain Improvement Association. Bill was active in town affairs and was a former town meeting member. Above all of his hobbies, Bill enjoyed the time he spent with his family especially his children and grandchildren at home and in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife Cheryl Taylor (McMillan) of Weymouth, his loving children Danielle Collins and her husband Shaun of Norton, William Taylor of Weymouth, and Derek Taylor and his wife Ashlee of South Carolina, his cherished grandchildren Aryssa, Taylor, Owen, and Logan. Bill is also survived by his father William E. Taylor Sr. his brother-in-law Joe McMillan and nieces April Cabral and Heather Tibbetts.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Bill on Friday January 13, 2017 from 4-8 PM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA 02190. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30AM on Saturday for a Funeral Service that will begin at 10AM.
