Leonard C, Rosenstein 69, of Bonita Springs, FL formerly of Chelsea died January 10,, 2017 at the Cape Coral Hospital in Florida. Born in Everett he was the son of the late David & Marion (Levine) Rosenstein. Raised and educated in Chelsea he was a graduate of Chelsea, High School and Chelsea Hebrew School. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam War and also was deployed to Indochina.
He was employed at the Chelsea Soldiers Home for 40 years working in various positions. For the past 10 years he has been a Florida resident, but was still an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan. He enjoyed the quiet retirement among his friends in Florida. He cared very much for all animals, but held a soft spot for his beloved dog Molly. Leonard was a good natured man who got along with everyone. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his son Matthew Rosenstein of Chelsea, his brothers Marc Rosenstein and his wife Linda of Lynn and Edward Rosenstein and his partner Alex Flanagan of Stonemountain, GA., his cousin Edwin Katzman of Boynton Beach, FL and his close friend Joe Miller of FL., and many nieces and nephews. Services from Torf Funeral Chapel 151 Washington Ave., Chelsea, on Friday Jan. 13th at 10 AM. Interment in Maple Hill Cemetery, Peabody, MA. Memorial observance will be private.
