Gloria R. (Rock) Vogt, 91, passed away Monday, January 9,2017.
She was born in Louisville, KY on November 3, 1925, the daughter of the late, Robert and Aliene Rock.
She retired from the Naval Ordnance Station as an Administrative Assistant in 1985, and was a faithful member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church for over 60 years.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Milton “Pete” Vogt.
Survived by her children, Gary Vogt (Janelle), Donna Gulley, Sharon Spratt (Tony) and David Vogt (Janet); grandchildren, Scott Vogt (Tabby), Toby Gerdis (Joel), Angela Jackson (Bryan), Lisa Spratt-Wallace (Joe), Derek Gulley, Christopher Spratt and Corey Vogt (Emily); great grandchildren, Gavin and Jillian Vogt, Connor, Macy and Molly Jackson, Ethan and Benjamin Gerdis, Max, Graham and Ruby Vogt; sister, Marion Whelan-Zario.
Funeral service will be Thursday at 6 P.M. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with private burial.
Visitation will be Thursday at 2 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church.
