Janet (Souza) Goulart, age 73, of Taunton, passed away on January 9, 2017 at Morton Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of Antonio L. Goulart.
Born in East Providence a daughter of the late Joseph and Bernice (Terleski) Souza.
Before retiring in 2005, Janet was employed with the Taunton School Dept. for over 27 years. She was an avid reader, loved working in the yard, loved animals, most of all, was devoted to her loving family.
Besides her loving husband Antonio of over 50 years, she is survived by her children, Antonio M. Goulart of Pawtucket, RI, Rosanne M. Carvalho and husband George of Taunton, Sandra M. Goulart of Bridgewater , Grandmother of Zachary Carvalho. She was the sister of James Souza of Seekonk, Joseph Souza of Pawtucket, RI and Joan Blanchette of West Warwick, RI. Janet also is survived by her precious dog Sam.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10 am in Annunciation of the Lord Church 1st Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Janet’s memory made to a charity of one’s choice, would be deeply appreciated.
