BEVERLY: Carole A. (Fergnani) Archibald, 70, died Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House following an extended illness. She was the wife of Paul R. Archibald.
Born in Nashua, New Hampshire on September 6, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Doris (Vanasse) Fergnani. She has resided in Beverly most of her life and was a graduate of Beverly High School class of 1964 and the Chandler School for Women.
Carole was employed as a certified medical assistant at the Family Medicine Associates in Hamilton for thirteen years before retiring in 2010. A former member of Bass River Tennis Club, she enjoyed boating and hiking and especially loved to spend time with her family and dogs.
In addition to her husband of forty-seven years, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kyle W. and Keri Archibald and Trever P. and Amanda Archibald all of Beverly; three grandsons, Graham, Reece and Liam Archibald; dear friends, Lana “Kathy” Doughty, Cheryl Michaud and Sandy Glover and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 – 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Cape Ann Animal Aid, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930.
