Obituary

Rosalie M. Knutkowski, 84, of Derry, NH died Tuesday August 23, 2005 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Derry. Mrs. Knutkowski was born in Haverhill, MA on December 26, 1920 a daughter of the late John and Florence M.H. (Walker) Noonan. She had resided in Derry for the past 40 years, formerly living in Bennington, NH. She was a 1938 graduate of Haverhill High School, Haverhill, MA. She was employed in customer service for Indian Head Bank and later Fleet Bank in Derry for 13 years, retiring in 1983. She was a 40 year member of the First Parish Church in E. Derry and had served as a Deaconess. She donated her time and talents to various activities at the church. She was a 45 year member of the Mizpah Rebekah Lodge #15 in Derry having served in various offices including Past Noble Grand. She also held offices in the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She was very involved in the AARP Nutfield Chapter #784 having served as past secretary and past treasurer. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, baking and cooking.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Frank T. Knutkowski of Derry, one daughter, Judith Ann Jacobs of Charlotte, NC, two sons, John R. Bonnell, III of Berwick, ME, Michael E. Bonnell of Burton, SC , 12 grandchildren, Mark, Margaret, Heather, Daniel, Laura, John Michael, Athena, John IV, Cheryl, Matthew, Mekal and Brandi, 18 great grandchildren, one sister, Grace Scott of Danvers, MA, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, John R. Bonnell II, by her second husband Kenneth W. Davis, and by four sisters, Elizabeth Johnson, Florence Lyons, Alice Davis, Ruth Knutkowski.
A service of remembrance was held on Saturday August 27th at 10:00am in First Parish Church, Hampstead Rd., E. Derry. Committal services followed at 2:00pm in Evergreen Cemetery, Bennington. Calling hours were held on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Rebekah service was held during visitation at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Greater NH Chapter, 10 Ferry St., Suite 427B, Concord, NH 03301.
