Mr. Daniel Bradford Harris, a resident of Andover and beloved husband of Caren (Tessein) Harris, passed away at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill on Friday morning, January 6, 2017. He was 54 years old.
Born in Greenfield, Massachusetts, on August 19, 1962, he was the beloved son of Edythe (Roberts) and the late Clarence W. Harris. Mr. Daniel Harris was a mechanical engineering graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, class of 1984. He worked in various engineering, support and managerial positions at for IBM for more than 32 years. Daniel was an accomplished musician early in life and music remained very important to him throughout the years. He was a generous, kind and humorous man whose optimism was contagious and ever-present. Above all, he was a devoted and loving husband and father. Daniel will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Besides his wife, Caren, and mother Edythe of Greenfield, Massachusetts, he is survived by his loving children, Camille J. Harris of Boston and Michael A. Harris of Andover; siblings Delores Benabou of Princeton, New Jersey and William Harris of Houston, Texas; as well as eight nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017, from 6 to 8 PM and on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be privately held at a later date.
