TYNGSBOROUGH - Mrs. Marilyn Marie (Owens) Wilson, age 91, died peacefully early Sunday morning, January 8, at Northwood Health Care Center in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of Harry M. Wilson Jr., who died in 2005.
Marilyn was born in Saugus, in October 1925, one of six children of the late Franklin and Eva (Glover) Owens, and was raised in Saugus. After her marriage, she and Harry moved to Tewksbury in 1953 to raise their family. She moved to Tyngsboro in 2010.
In addition to her duties as a mother, she worked in the food services area of Sweetheart Plastics in Wilmington as a chef.
Marilyn devoted her life to her family, but found time to enjoy Bingo, was accomplished at fabric crochet, and loved to travel to visit her siblings in Illinois and Virginia.
She leaves a son, Ronald Wilson and his wife Maureen (Hughes) of S.C., a daughter, Annette Coles and her husband David of Tyngsboro; three grandchildren, David Coles and his wife Heide of FL, Derek Coles and his wife Allison of Windham, NH, Scott Coles and his wife Sara of Methuen; five great grandchildren, Dylan, Michael, Brenna, Bradie, and Riley; two brothers, Walter Owens and his wife Joyce of Saugus, Vernon Owens and his wife Carol of IL, two sisters, Dorothy McMahon of Lynn, and Barbara Smith of VA; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her son, Russell Wilson; and her brothers-in-law, Martin McMahon and Clifford Smith.
Visiting hours Thursday, Jan. 12, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, Jan. 13, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by burial in Tewksbury Cemetery.
