Lucy (Leone) Cardullo, 98, of New Bedford died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Orazio "Al" Cardullo.
Born in Providence, daughter of the late Fedele and Josephine (Guglielmino) Leone, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life. She was the step-daughter of the late Benjamin Lamore.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, where she was a former member of the St. Francis of Assisi Women's League.
Lucy was formerly employed by Acushnet Process and the Star Store until her retirement.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Stone of Encinitas, CA; her nieces and nephews, Anne Nigra and her husband Luciano of Assonet, Paul Cardullo and his wife Rachel of Dartmouth, Paula Goldbeck of San Diego, CA, Anthony Stone of Yakima, WA, and Michael Stone of Anaheim, CA; and other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
She was the sister of the late Grace Leone.
Her Funeral will be from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford, Wednesday at 9 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southcoast VNA Hospice, 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven MA 02719.
