OLD ORCHARD BEACH- Gretchen Ida Sherry Gosselin, age 86, passed on January 7, 2017.
She was born in Portland, Maine on August 22, 1930, daughter of Timothy and Helen Sherry.
Gretchen proudly taught primary school grades for over 30 years, here Maine as well
as North Carolina and Germany. She also taught Adult Education and worked with The IRIS Network, school for the blind and visually impaired.
Gretchen enjoyed her family and friends, a long walk on the beach, picking up sea shells as she went along. She also took a liking to Art and belonged to numerous art groups over the years.
Gretchen could always be seen riding her bike around town with her little doggie in her basket.
She loved her chihuahuas. Her “you-hoo” as she called for you was contagious, quirky and we just loved that about her. She was a caring giving soul and will be missed by all.
Gretchen is survived by her four children: Timothy and Jennifer Gosselin in Maine, Jackie Buffalo of No. Carolina, Rocky Gosselin and wife Kaye in Virginia, and Kurk Gosselin in Texas. Sixteen Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren.
