Michael S. Doherty, 54 of Londonderry, NH died Friday January 6, 2017 at his home. Michael was born in Lawrence, MA on October 25, 1962 a son of Nancy (Gylfe) Doherty and the late Roger L. Doherty, Sr. He had resided in Londonderry for the past 10 years, formerly living in Raymond, NH. Michael was well liked by all, and as a carpenter he pleased everyone he worked for. He loved woodworking and was known to many as the “Wood Wizard”. Michael also enjoyed boating and fishing.
In addition to his mother of Londonderry, he is survived by his daughter, Heather Hathaway and her husband Joseph of Raymond, his granddaughter, Maliyah Hall of Raymond, his brother, Roger L. Doherty, Jr. of El Paso, TX, his sister, Linda Vandervort and her husband Bruce of El Paso, TX, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to Michael’s father, he was predeceased by his brother, Nick Doherty in 1997.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Wednesday January 11, 2017 from 4 – 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Private burial will be in the spring at Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry, NH. Donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
